Keeping The Peace During Elections

With elections right around the corner, its hard not to notice, that people get a little more outspoken and edgy. It's no different at our house. In fact, we had to introduce a new rule in our home in order to maintain a peaceful abode. Ironically, we generally share the same political views.
From now until election day, we will only watch politics on TV if the CANDIDATE is speaking. As with any newsworthy event, the media tends to be very opinionated and misleading. The news anchors, "experts", and campaign team members, have a tendency to create a hostile environment. These commentators seem to have the ability to: A. make my blood boil B. raise his temperature and C. come close to starting a war at our address, even more so than the candidates. So we have a rule, if we see anyone other than the actual candidate speaking, it's an automatic change of the channel.
My advice to you, ignore the news, polls, party or personal views, and expose yourself only to the candidates. This will keep you out of the media circus and prevent your home from becoming one as well.
